WHAT'S INSIDE
HOW TO HELP
The July 4th floods caused devastation across Texas.
Torrential rains dumped over 20 inches in some areas. Cabins, camps, and homes were swept away within minutes. There is a long road of recovery ahead for our impacted communities.
This disaster has already become one of the worst floods in modern Texas history, surpassed only by the 2021 winter freeze and Hurricane Rita in terms of damage and lives lost. Climate experts warn that warming temperatures are fueling stronger storms and heavier rain, putting the region known as Flash Flood Alley at even greater risk.
By the numbers:
Over 120 confirmed dead, 160 still missing
Estimated damage: $18–22 billion
Some rivers rose more than 20 feet in hours
Rainfall totals topped 20 inches in parts of the Hill Country
These floods highlight urgent needs for stronger warning systems, better communication infrastructure, and smart rebuilding to prepare for future storms.
If you want to help, here are a few ways to donate or support relief efforts:
World Central Kitchen is providing fresh meals to displaced families
Mercy Chefs is serving hot meals in flooded areas
Texas Diaper Bank is accepting donations for essential baby and family supplies
Every bit of support helps Texas families get back on their feet.
