Elon Musks’s goal of a company town (think: Hersheys Chocolate/Hershey, PA or Walmart/Bentonville, AR) is becoming a reality.

Residents of Starbase voted unanimously to incorporate as a city. Of the 279 people eligible to vote - 90% of them are SpaceX employees or relatives.

This approval cements SpaceX’s control over the community and leads the way for future Musks developments like Snailbrook near Austin. The first mayor of Starbase will be a SpaceX Vice-President - Bobby Peden. He ran unopposed along with two other SpaceX adjacent residents that will fill commissioner seats.

If this process gets replicated in Bastrop, huge overhaul is coming.
